Light and Night Reroll Guide | Best Cards & Banner Priority
2026-06-15

Light and Night is an otome game combining romance storytelling and card progression. Players take on the role of a designer and embark on adventures with five main characters. Main stages, study dungeons and limited events all rely on Echo Cards. Cards have six attribute types: Joy, Trust, Sincerity, Resolution, Bravery and Focus. Matched attributes grant extra damage bonuses in stages.

Card progression includes Level, Rank, Mark, Pattern and Insight. 6-star Echo Cards are the highest tier with superior base stats. Even though storytelling is the core, weak cards will lead to stage locks and slow material farming. Rerolling is therefore essential to optimize your early gaming experience.

Why Rerolling Matters

Rerolling brings great value for new accounts. The game offers plenty of initial pull resources for new players, but pity counters are separated across different banners and cannot be shared. Resources are limited in the early game, so unlimited pulls are not possible.

A strong starting account does not mean stacking numerous high-rarity cards. The ideal start is to obtain a versatile 6-star main card, or a combination of a core damage card plus a support card.

Most early stage locks are caused by attribute mismatch or insufficient card power, rather than having too few cards. One powerful 6-star core card works far better than multiple scattered 5-star cards. It helps you clear main stages smoothly, speed up material collection and build a steady growth rhythm for your account.

Banner Guide & Pull Priority

1. Two Main Banner Types

There is no exclusive beginner banner in the Traditional Chinese / Global version. New players can only access Limited Bond Banner and Permanent Bond Banner. Their pity systems are independent of each other.

Banner Type

Main Content

Pity Rules

Reroll Priority

Limited Bond Banner

Rate-up cards for single characters or themed events. Limited Echoes will not return for a long time after the event ends.

70 pulls for soft pity (guaranteed 6-star), 180 pulls for hard pity (can exchange for the limited card). Pity carries over to new limited banners.

Highest (Spend all initial pulls here first)

Permanent Bond Banner

Permanent 6-star & 5-star base cards for all characters, available permanently.

70 pulls for soft pity, 180 pulls for hard pity. No rate-up for specific characters with a large card pool.

Low (Do not spend resources here in early game)

2. Pull Strategy & Priority Order

Limited Bond Banner (Top Choice):Limited banners boost the drop rate of featured cards, making them the best way to obtain top-tier cards. Limited cards have long rerun cycles, so use all your free pulls here to get the featured 6-star Echo. Pity progress carries over within limited banners, so your attempts will not be wasted.

Permanent Bond Banner (Save for Later):There is no rate-up in the permanent banner, so pulling for a specific card is extremely difficult. Its pity counter is separated from limited banners. Save your pull resources in the early game. You can farm permanent cards later when your team is fully built and resources are abundant.

Note on Pull Items:

Single Pull Ticket

10-Pull Ticket

You can obtain these items from newbie rewards, mailbox gifts, stage clears and event exchanges.

Recommended Starting Cards & Reasons

Based on the current game meta, early stage difficulty, attribute versatility and long-term value, we divide Echo Cards into S, A and B tiers. 6-star cards are the main focus, while 5-star cards work as temporary options for casual players.

Tier S (Best Start | Top Reroll Targets)

Current Limited Rate-up 6-star Damage Echo Reason: Limited featured 6-star cards are the current meta. Their attributes and skills are tailored for the game environment, with outstanding damage and attribute coverage. A single copy can handle main stages, material dungeons and boss fights. They have high growth potential and remain core damage dealers in late-game teams, with excellent long-term value. This is the best target for rerolling.

Lu Chen - Permanent 6-star All-Rounder Echo
Reason: One of the most versatile cards in the game. Well-balanced in all six attributes, it fits almost all stage bonuses.
Its passive skill boosts the entire team's performance. It has no obvious weaknesses and performs well in both early stage progression and late team building. Perfect for free-to-play players as a standalone starting card.

Tier A (Solid Start | You can stop rerolling)

Qi Sili - Permanent 6-star Burst Echo
Reason: Specializes in high single-target burst damage. Gains extra bonuses on Resolution and Focus stages, and performs remarkably against high-HP bosses. It has low upgrade requirements and can show its full power with basic level and mark upgrades. A great pick for players who often get stuck on boss stages.

Zha Lisu - Permanent 6-star Support Echo
Reason: A team-oriented support card that increases overall damage and survivability. Its personal damage is average, but it creates powerful synergy with any high-rarity damage card and greatly reduces stage difficulty. It provides a stable early-game experience and reduces progression bottlenecks, ideal for players who prefer a safe playstyle.

High-Rank 5-star Damage Echo
Reason: If you do not get any 6-star cards at first, multiple well-leveled 5-star cards are acceptable. Early main stages are not hard, and 5-star cards are enough for smooth progression. You can farm 6-star cards gradually later. Suitable for casual players who do not want to reroll repeatedly.

Tier B (Playable but Poor Experience | Reroll Recommended)

Permanent 6-star with Single Attribute Bias
Example: Basic 6-star cards focusing on only one attribute
Reason: Though they are 6-star rarity, their narrow attribute range will cause frequent stage locks when facing counter attributes. You need to draw extra cards to make up for weaknesses, which costs a lot of resources. Reroll for better cards if you pursue high gaming experience.

Full Low-Rarity Team (No 5-star or higher core cards)
Reason: Slow stage progression and low efficiency in study dungeons and material stages. You will face a huge power gap in the mid game. This is generally considered a weak starting account, and resetting the account is strongly suggested.

General Card Selection Rules

Prioritize one versatile 6-star card over multiple single-attribute high-rarity cards. Damage cards are better than pure support cards for early game.

Choose cards with wide attribute coverage to avoid stage locks.

Free-to-play players do not need to chase multiple 6-star cards. One Tier S card is enough for a qualified start.

Extra Tips

The sync function also works for daily tasks, material farming and story progression to manage multiple accounts easily.

If sync disconnects due to network fluctuation, turn off sync and reselect instances to reconnect.

Run 3 to 4 instances at a time for the best balance between efficiency and device performance.

Conclusion

In Light and Night, the quality of your starting account largely determines your early-game progression. The core reroll goal is to get one versatile 6-star Echo Card, instead of blindly collecting multiple 6-star cards. Always prioritize limited banners and save your resources instead of spending them on the permanent banner early on to make the most of your initial resources.

For players with limited time, use OSLink together with LDPlayer to reroll in bulk remotely on your phone and save plenty of repetitive work. Free-to-play and low-spend players can enjoy a steady journey with one Tier S core card. You can collect more cards and resources through daily quests and limited events later to fully experience the game’s story and card progression.
