ENDLESS Legend 2 Faction Tier List Overview
Our ENDLESS Legend 2 1.0 faction tier list ranks factions based on their overall effectiveness rather than simply their military strength. Since every faction has a unique playstyle, we consider how well each one performs across the full game.

Our ranking considers six main factors:
-
Overall Power – How strong the faction can become when its mechanics are used effectively.
-
Consistency – How reliably it can execute its game plan across different situations.
-
Scaling – How well its economy, military, and faction mechanics develop from the early to late game.
-
Flexibility – How well it can adapt when its ideal strategy or conditions are disrupted.
-
Weaknesses – How significant its faction-specific restrictions and disadvantages are.
-
Execution Difficulty – How demanding the faction is to manage and play effectively.
We also consider how each faction's mechanics interact with expansion, economy, diplomacy, military strength, technology, and the different victory paths.
The tiers represent overall performance, not how easy a faction is to play. A B-tier faction can still be extremely powerful in the right situation, while an S-tier faction may require more experience to use effectively.
ENDLESS Legend 2 Faction Tier List

|
A Tier |
Tahuks, Necrophage, Aspects |
|
B Tier |
Sandshapers, Kin of Sheredyn, Severed Claws |
S-Tier ENDLESS Legend 2 Factions
The S Tier features factions with exceptional overall potential and faction mechanics that can have a major impact on the game. These factions combine strong economies, expansion, military power, or unique mechanics with relatively few limitations, allowing them to remain highly effective when their strengths are used properly.
Order of Zelevas
Faction Type: Rogue Faction – Expansionists
Core Role: Expansion & Military
Excels At: Territory Expansion • Instant Military Deployment • Holy Commandments • Dust Economy

The Order of Zelevas stands out as one of the most powerful all-around factions in ENDLESS Legend 2. Its mechanics reward aggressive expansion, allowing Territory growth to directly contribute to its Holy Commandments and Chosen while maintaining a strong military focus.
Its Dust-based economy is particularly valuable because Warrior Regime allows units to be purchased instantly with Dust. Military Districts can also produce additional units through Riders of the Citadel, giving the faction several ways to rapidly strengthen its armies. Winning battles further generates Influence through Cleansing Fire, creating a natural connection between warfare and continued expansion.
The result is a faction that can turn expansion into military strength while retaining strong economic flexibility. Its main challenge is managing Dust carefully, since the same resource is needed for military deployment and other economic purposes. When that resource is managed effectively, the Order of Zelevas has very few opportunities to fall behind.
Last Lords
Faction Type: Economic
Core Role: Dust Economy & Population Growth
Excels At: Dust Generation • Population Growth • Instant Healing • Minor Faction Integration

The Last Lords have one of the most unusual economic systems in the game. Instead of relying on Food for population in the traditional way, they revolve around Dust, allowing their economy to directly support population growth, army recovery, and other important actions.
Their Dust is Life mechanic gives them a powerful economic foundation, while Dust Healing allows damaged units to recover instantly when the faction can afford the cost. They can also develop assimilated Minor Faction populations through Lord's Estates, while their Primordial Last Lords provide additional economic benefits.
This gives the Last Lords exceptional potential to convert a strong Dust economy into rapid population and military momentum. However, that power comes with significant Approval management. Their population and economic mechanics can create persistent Approval problems, meaning players must carefully balance their economic growth with stability.
When that management is handled well, the Last Lords can turn their Dust economy into an extremely powerful source of momentum, making them one of the strongest factions in the 1.0 roster.
A-Tier ENDLESS Legend 2 Factions
The A Tier features factions with strong and reliable mechanics that can perform exceptionally well when played around their intended strengths. These factions have powerful economic, technological, diplomatic, or military advantages, but their more significant limitations or situational requirements keep them just below the S Tier.
Tahuks
Faction Type: Scientists
Core Role: Science & Technology
Excels At: Science Generation • Holy Oculum • Observatories • Strategic Flexibility

The Tahuks are a powerful science-focused faction that can generate enormous amounts of Science while turning that resource into unique strategic effects through the Holy Oculum. Their access to Observatories further strengthens their research-focused economy, particularly when controlling Territories with mountains.
Their Holy Oculum allows Tahuks to redirect Science into powerful Empire-level actions, giving them more ways to use their technological advantage instead of simply progressing through the Technology tree. Their Called population system also adds another layer to their faction mechanics, with Religious Festivals and Oculum actions creating additional benefits alongside Approval and stability concerns.
The Tahuks are particularly well suited to players who want to pursue a technology-focused strategy while retaining considerable flexibility. Their main weakness is managing the consequences of their religious mechanics, as excessive Called populations and the use of certain Oculum effects can create serious internal problems.
Overall, their exceptional Science generation and versatile faction mechanics make the Tahuks one of the strongest factions in the 1.0 roster, but their additional management requirements keep them in A Tier.
Necrophage
Faction Type: Warmongers
Core Role: Warfare & Military Expansion
Excels At: Army Growth • Corpses • Larva Creation • Prolonged Warfare

The Necrophage are built around constant warfare and can turn military victories directly into additional army strength. Their unique Larvae system allows them to create new units after successful battles, while Corpses collected from battlefields can be used to develop and specialize their forces.
Their one-city structure is unusual, but the faction can compensate by attaching Territories through Burrows and using its powerful central city as the heart of its empire. Their Ever Fighting affinity also supports their aggressive identity by reducing some of the disadvantages normally associated with prolonged wars.
This creates a strong snowballing military faction: successful battles provide the resources and reinforcements needed to fight even more battles. However, their aggressive strategy comes with significant restrictions. Necrophage cannot access diplomatic technologies, Parley, or bribing Minor Factions, making peaceful diplomatic strategies considerably more limited.
The Necrophage therefore has an extremely powerful military game plan, but its dependence on warfare and lack of diplomatic flexibility prevent it from reaching the S Tier.
Aspects
Faction Type: Diplomats
Core Role: Diplomacy & Wide Empire Building
Excels At: Influence • Coral Networks • Minor Factions • Protectorates

The Aspects are one of the most distinctive diplomatic factions in ENDLESS Legend 2. Their Coral Chorus allows Coral to spread across the map, providing useful benefits such as vision, movement, Food, regeneration, and access to Villages. This makes their expanding empire increasingly valuable as their Coral network develops.
Their Influence-focused economy also works particularly well with their diplomatic identity. Cohabitation allows them to assimilate Minor Factions without the usual cost, while Friend of Saiadha provides additional Protectorate capacity. These mechanics give the Aspects strong access to Minor Faction benefits and diplomatic relationships.
The faction is especially effective when building a large, interconnected empire and maintaining peaceful relationships with other powers. However, their military strength is less self-sufficient than that of the more aggressive factions, and their lack of access to Dust Districts creates another important economic limitation.
The Aspects can therefore build an extremely effective empire through diplomacy, Influence, Coral, and Minor Faction cooperation, but their more specialized military and economic limitations keep them in A Tier.
B-Tier ENDLESS Legend 2 Factions
The B Tier features factions that are fully capable of winning games but have more noticeable limitations, dependencies, or specialized playstyles than the higher-tier factions. Their mechanics can become extremely effective when their ideal conditions are met, but they generally require more careful planning or provide fewer options when things go wrong.
Sandshapers
Faction Type: Terraformers
Core Role: Terraforming & Long-Term Expansion
Excels At: Ruins • Terraforming • Resource Scaling • Late-Game Growth

The Sandshapers are a slow-burn faction whose power increases as they restore Saiadha's lost deserts. Their Ancient Wisdom system revolves around discovering, raising, and restoring Buried Ruins, with restored Ruins providing economic benefits and unlocking Wishes that can gradually transform the world around them.
Their dependence on Sand creates an unusual economic challenge. Sand is essential for their Food economy, while their Mineral Bred affinity removes access to Food Districts and instead ties Food production to Strategic and Luxury resource production. They also suffer additional problems during Monsoons because of their water-related weaknesses.
These limitations make the early game more demanding than it is for many other factions. However, their power can increase considerably as more Ruins are restored and more of Saiadha is transformed into a landscape suited to their economy.
The Sandshapers therefore have impressive long-term potential, but their difficult opening and strong environmental dependencies make their overall performance less consistent than the A and S Tier factions.
Kin of Sheredyn
Faction Type: Defenders
Core Role: Fortified Cities & Defensive Warfare
Excels At: Fortifications • Chosen • Holy Commandments • City Development

The Kin of Sheredyn specialize in building powerful fortified cities and turning their Capital into the center of their military and economic strategy. Their Strength of Our Zeal mechanic rewards increasing Capital Fortifications, unlocking additional Holy Commandments and access to more Chosen.
Their defensive identity is reinforced by Stand United, which rewards positioning friendly Units together during battles, while their Industry-focused population bonuses and District mechanics help them develop strong cities.
This makes the Kin a relatively straightforward faction with a reliable defensive game plan. They can create powerful cities and durable armies, but their reduced City Cap and restrictions on Influence generation limit some of their long-term flexibility. Their inability to build a Forum is another important economic restriction.
The Kin of Sheredyn are therefore dependable and beginner-friendly, but their slower and more rigid playstyle gives them less strategic flexibility than the higher-tier factions.
Severed Claws
Faction Type: Rogue Faction – Enslavers
Core Role: Minor Faction Exploitation & Army Diversity
Excels At: Captured Populations • Captured Units • Territory Expansion • Adaptive Armies

The Severed Claws take a highly unconventional approach to empire building. Instead of simply developing their own population, they can attack Minor Faction Villages to capture populations and gain access to different types of Units. This allows them to build unusually diverse armies and populations based on the Minor Factions available around them.
Their Enslavers mechanic is the foundation of this playstyle, while Sterile means foreign Populations do not grow or consume Food normally. Destroying Villages can also provide additional Units through Fight or Die, further supporting their aggressive approach.
The major drawback is consistency. Their potential depends heavily on the Minor Factions and Units available on the map, meaning players have less control over exactly what tools they will acquire. They also have significant diplomatic restrictions and limited access to the normal Protectorate gameplay.
The Severed Claws can become extremely effective when the right Minor Factions are available, but their dependence on the map and unpredictable army composition makes them less consistent than the factions above them.

Which Faction Should You Choose?
If you're looking for overall faction strength, the Order of Zelevas and Last Lords currently occupy our S Tier.

For players who prefer a specific playstyle, however, the choice changes. Tahuks suit Science-focused strategies, Necrophage favors constant warfare, Aspects specialize in diplomacy and empire building, while Kin of Sheredyn provide a more straightforward defensive experience.
The Sandshapers and Severed Claws are more specialized choices. They can become very effective when their unique mechanics are supported by the right conditions, but they require more adaptation and planning than the higher-ranked factions.
