Neverness to Everness Anomaly Quests are some of the most mysterious and thrilling missions in Hethereau. Among them, certain quests are harder to complete because the objectives are unclear, especially Lonely Player, Hospital Anomaly, After School, and Whose Leak is This. That’s where this NTE Anomaly Quest Guide helps, providing clear steps to unlock each quest, solve puzzles, overcome challenges, and finish them smoothly with better rewards.

Lonely Player (Wandering Puppets)
-
Quest Location: Clement Academy, Illusion Town
-
Difficulty: ★★★★☆

The Lonely Player is a school anomaly quest centered around investigating 8 wandering puppets by completing different mini-games and puzzles at night. This is a longer anomaly commission with multiple puzzle stages to solve. Below is the full NTE quest guide to completing the Lonely Player quest.
Pre-Requisites for Lonely Player
Before starting the night-time section of the quest, you need to collect a few important items during the daytime:
Empathy Eye Drops: Talk to the student who lost her diary near the anomaly area on the map. Use the eye drops to locate the diary in the garden near a bench, then return it to her to obtain Empathy Eye Drops.
Cheese the Camera: This is a time-stop gadget required for the quest. To obtain it, speak with the Occult Club student in different locations such as the bleachers, rooftop, and basketball court. Answer questions correctly about Cheese and its abilities.
Befriend Peepy: Knock exactly three times on wall cracks at these four locations:
-
Near the running track
-
Near the diary girl
-
On the rooftop of a building
-
The third floor of the building north of the previous spot
After completing this, you will receive Peepy’s Sunglasses, which help in the cup game.
How to Find All the Wandering Puppets
After collecting all required items, you can begin locating the wandering puppets.

Garden Puppet
The puppet near the tree disappears when you approach. Your goal is to track down an invisible puppet.
Listen for footsteps, watch for footprints, or stay still until it bumps into you. Once found, interact using the “Invite” option.
Gym Puppet
Go to the school gym. An invisible barrier blocks the entrance, which you must attack to reveal the first puppet. Use Empathy Eye Drops to locate hidden puppets inside the gym.
Locations include:
-
Near the net
-
On the opposite side of the stage near the net
-
Near the green door and net area
-
On top of the ladder overlooking the stage
-
On the stage
After finding all of them, the final puppet appears near the door. Interact with it to invite it.
Running Track Puppet
Go to the running track and start a race with the puppet. To win, reach the finish line without losing sight of it on your camera. During the race, distraction puppets will appear, so avoid them and stay focused to finish first.

Basketball Court Puppet
Head to the basketball court located southwest of the runner’s starting point. Stand in the middle between both courts and wait. The puppet will appear, then interact to invite it.

Hallway Puppet
Return to the area where the student lost her diary. Near the stairs, enter the hallway door. Inside, you will see a puppet from a distance, but it moves quickly to attack you. Use Cheese the Camera to reveal the invisible fast-moving puppet, then interact to invite it.
Music Room Puppet
Go to the third floor of the same building as the hallway puppet and enter the music room near the stairs. Walk around the pillar clockwise to shift the room and music. Continue until you see the puppet playing the piano. Input the piano tunes using the first 10 keys:
-
Tune 1: 4 - 10 - 8 - 6 - 1 - 10 - 7 - 5
-
Tune 2: 1 - 5 - 10 - 9 - 10 - 5 - 10 - 5 - 1 - 5 - 10 - 9 - 10 - 5 - 10 - 5
-
Tune 3: 8 - 7 - 5 - 7 - 8 - 7 - 5 - 8 - 7 - 5

Press “OK” after each correct sequence. A green smiley face confirms success. After that, interact with it to invite the puppet.
Classroom Puppet
Enter the southeast building and head to the classroom at the end of the hallway. Open the back door to switch classrooms. Search for hidden puppets:
-
On the table
-
Inside cabinets
-
Inside lockers
-
Behind the vase (attack it to reveal one)
After clearing them, use the back door again to reach the storage room, then interact with the puppet to invite.
Cooking Class Puppet
Find the cooking class on the third floor of the northwest building. Play the cup-and-ball game. You can use Peepy for help, as it will point to the correct cup. Complete all rounds, including the harder glitch rounds with multiple cups.

Auditorium Puppet
After collecting all eight puppets, return to the auditorium and interact with the puppet on the stage. Wait until the puppet sitting in the audience stops moving, then approach and interact to complete the Lonely Player Anomaly Commission.
