Confessional Flower Seed is obtained by defeating Serenetti through Anomaly Hunt. Since this encounter is already available, players can start collecting the required 86 materials before Exe's banner arrives.
The Numeral series drops from several common Anomalies, including Cardboard Castle, ReroRero Phone Booth, and Skyfish Banner.
Players can also synthesize higher-grade materials using lower-grade versions. Three Blurred Numerals can produce one Unsolved Numeral, while three Unsolved Numerals can be converted into one Distorted Numeral.
However, avoid converting everything immediately. Early Ascension stages still require lower-tier materials.
EXE Esper Ability Materials
Exe's combat abilities use the following enhancement material series:
Hesitation of the Waves → Suspended Whispers → The Second Self

The regular Esper Ability materials can be obtained through Houdinii's Schemes in the Anomaly Zone. Selected materials are also available through Hunter Exchange and synthesis.
Higher-tier materials can be crafted from lower-tier versions, making it easier to manage shortages when upgrading multiple abilities.
The main exception is Hollowflower Seeds. These materials come from Amber Broodmother, a new Anomaly Pilgrimage boss introduced in Version 1.5.
Since the encounter will become available with the update, players cannot collect these seeds beforehand. However, Exe arrives during the second half of Version 1.5, leaving time to farm the new boss before his banner begins.
Where to Farm EXE Materials
Efficient preparation depends on prioritizing activities that provide the materials Exe needs.
Confessional Flower Seeds: Challenge Serenetti through Anomaly Hunt. These are essential for unlocking Exe's higher character levels.
Numeral Materials: Defeat compatible Anomalies, including Cardboard Castle and ReroRero Phone Booth. Use synthesis and exchanges to cover missing higher-tier materials.
Esper Ability Materials: Complete Houdinii's Schemes to collect Hesitation of the Waves, Suspended Whispers, and The Second Self.
Hollowflower Seeds: Challenge Amber Broodmother through Anomaly Pilgrimage after Version 1.5 becomes available.
EXP and Beetle Coins: Farm Houdinii's Magic Stage and collect additional resources through exploration, missions, and available rewards.
Check your inventory before spending Character Pixels to avoid farming materials you already have in sufficient quantities.

Best EXE Pre-Farming Priority
For players preparing before Exe's release, the recommended farming order is:
- Confessional Flower Seed: Collect 86 boss materials from Serenetti first.
- Numeral Materials: Gather all three grades needed for Ascension and Esper Ability upgrades.
- Esper Ability Materials: Farm Houdinii's Schemes and synthesize missing higher-tier materials.
- EXP and Beetle Coins: Save enough resources to support character leveling and skill upgrades.
- Hollowflower Seeds: Begin farming Amber Broodmother when Version 1.5 launches.
Players should prioritize materials already available rather than spending resources on unnecessary upgrades.
Final Thoughts
Preparing Exe's materials before his December 2 debut can significantly reduce the time needed to build him.

Focus on Confessional Flower Seeds, Numeral materials, and Esper Ability resources first. Once Version 1.5 launches, begin collecting Hollowflower Seeds from Amber Broodmother.
