Blackbird is one of the new playable S-Class characters arriving in Neverness to Everness Version 1.4: For Whom the Verses Mourn. If you are planning to pull for her, preparing her materials in advance can save a lot of farming time once the update goes live.

The Version 1.4 preview revealed Blackbird's character development materials, including her Ascension resources, Esper Ability materials, and Life Skill materials.

Blackbird Ascension Materials

Players who want to raise Blackbird to Level 80 should prioritize her Ascension materials first.

The most important material here is Colorful Ticket Stub, Blackbird's main character Ascension material. You will need a total of 86 to complete her Ascensions.

Colorful Ticket Stub is obtained from Anomaly Hunt: Swallowtail. Because this is a character-specific farming target, it should be one of your highest priorities if you want to level Blackbird immediately after obtaining her.

The three Numeral materials are more general progression resources. Blurred Numeral, Unsolved Numeral, and Distorted Numeral are used across multiple character upgrades, and lower-rarity versions can also be converted into higher-rarity materials through synthesis.

Blackbird Esper Ability Materials

After completing Blackbird's Ascensions, you will also need another set of materials to improve her Esper Abilities.

Blackbird uses the Hesitation of the Waves material series for her Esper Ability progression.

The upgrade path includes:

Hesitation of the Waves → Suspended Whispers → The Second Self

These materials can be obtained through the corresponding ability material content. Lower-tier materials can also be synthesized into their higher-tier versions, which makes it easier to balance your farming if you have excess lower-rarity drops.

Blackbird also requires 35 Eternal Memory. This is a higher-level Esper Ability material obtained from Anomaly Pilgrimage: Debt Collector.

Because materials from Anomaly Pilgrimage are more limited than regular farming resources, it is a good idea to collect Eternal Memory steadily instead of leaving all of it until the end of your Blackbird build.

Blackbird Life Skill Materials

Blackbird also has a separate set of resources used for her Life Skill progression.

You will need 96 Dreamless Seeds and 38,400 Fons to complete this part of her development.

These materials are separate from Blackbird's main combat progression, so players who mainly care about getting her battle-ready can focus on Ascension and Esper Ability materials first.

What Should You Farm First?

If you are starting your Blackbird pre-farm, Colorful Ticket Stub ×86 should be your first major target. Without enough Ascension materials, you will not be able to raise Blackbird's level cap even if you already have plenty of EXP resources.

After that, start collecting Eternal Memory ×35 and the Hesitation of the Waves material series for her Esper Abilities. Numerals can usually be gathered alongside other progression activities, so they are easier to accumulate gradually.

You should also keep enough Beetle Coins, as fully preparing Blackbird requires more than two million when her Ascension and Esper Ability costs are combined.
