What Are the New Skills and How to Unlock Them?

The Crimson Desert Enhanced Edition 2.0 update adds eight new skills exclusively for Kliff. These are not brand-new independent abilities. They are advanced upgrades tied to the existing parent skills in the Kilff's skill tree and they help for expanding his combat combos, defensive options, movement, and aerial abilities.

What Are the New Skills and How to Unlock Them

You can unlock access to them by progressing through the main story and open Cliff's Skill Tree after updating your existing save and spend the required Abyss Artifact on the new skill. After installing the update, your previous skill progress is reset, and all spent Artifacts, along with the newly introduced Abyss Links, are refunded. This lets you freely rebuild your skills.

There are six new skills in the Spirit tree, with one in Health and another in Stamina. After installing the Crimson Desert Enhanced Edition 2.0 update, you can easily spot these Kliff new skills the first time you open the Skill menu. An animation will play and highlight all the newly added skills, making them easy to find.

Below are all 8 Crimson Desert Enhanced all 8 new skills and their details to help you use them more effectively in your gameplay.

Force Palm Level 4 – Flowing Force Palm

Skill Tree Section – Spirit

Effect – Increases damage of the 1st and 2nd hits of Force Palm and delivers an extra attack.

Artifact Cost – 1× Abyss Artifact

Priority – High for combat-focused builds and if you use Force Palm often.

Flowing Force Palm is a passive combat upgrade that strengthens the early hits of Kliff’s signature Force Palm combo. It adds visible energy blasts and makes the first two strikes more stronger. This makes Force Palm more effective against groups of enemies and useful in boss fights. Since Force Palm is also helpful for solving puzzles, this upgrade is a great choice for players who use the ability often.

Force Palm Level 4 – Flowing Force Palm

Force Palm Level 5 – Ascending Force Palm

Skill Tree Section – Spirit

Effect – Increases jump height and enhances Aerial Force Palm.

Artifact Cost – 1 Abyss Artifact

Priority – High for exploration-focused players; Medium for pure combat builds.

Ascending Force Palm improves the vertical reach of Aerial Force Palm, allowing Kliff to gain more height and distance. It works especially well with movement gear like the Kuku Breeze-Step Boots and opens up new platforming and exploration routes that were previously impossible to reach before the new update. It also makes aerial combat smoother when chaining different Force Palm skills.

Force Palm Level 5 – Ascending Force Palm

Diving Force Palm Level 2 – Descending Force Palm

Skill Tree Section – Spirit

Effect – Hold Q (dedicated key input) during Aerial Force Palm to follow up with Diving Force Palm.

Artifact Cost – 1× Abyss Artifact

Priority – Medium (higher if you already use aerial Force Palm frequently).

Descending Force Palm connects the aerial and diving versions of Force Palm into one fluid combat attack. It lets Kliff gain height with Aerial Force Palm and then quickly dive toward the ground with a powerful attack. This gives you a strong aerial-to-ground combo option and makes aerial combat more smoother.

Diving Force Palm Level 2 – Descending Force Palm

Keen Senses Level 4 – Enraged Parry

Skill Tree Section – Spirit

Effect – Press the Parry button while performing other actions to parry an attack.

Artifact Cost – 2× Abyss Artifact

Priority – High for combat and boss-focused players.

Enraged Parry is one of the most important skills within the Crimson Desert Enhanced new skills list. This new skill lets you interrupt an incoming attack with a successful parry even while mid-combo or performing other actions, without breaking your current sequence. This is an effective defensive upgrade that rewards aggressive playstyles. It is especially strong against bosses and aggressive enemy packs where normal parry windows are tight.

Keen Senses Level 4 – Enraged Parry

Double Jump Level 2 – Water Stride

Skill Tree Section – Spirit

Effect – Hold the sprint key while on water to sprint across its surface.

Artifact Cost – 1× Abyss Artifact

Priority – Very High for exploration; Medium for combat-only players.

Water Stride is one of the most impactful mobility additions among all the Crimson Desert Enhanced new skills from the Crimson Desert 2.0 update. It allows Kliff to run across the surface of water instead of swimming, making it a great skill that speeds up travel across rivers, lakes, and coastal areas.

You can activate Water Stride from almost any state, including while falling into the water or using Aerial Force Palm above the water or any other position related to the water surface. As long as Kliff is above the water and holding the specific key (Bound key for the Skill), he will start hopping across the surface as soon as his feet touch the water surface. However, once you release the key, the movement stops, and Kliff drops into the water and swims normally.

Double Jump Level 2 – Water Stride

Focus Level 4 – Serenity

Skill Tree Section – Spirit

Effect – Increases the amount of Spirit restored while maintaining Focus.

Artifact Cost – 1× Abyss Artifact

Priority – High for Spirit-reliant builds.

Serenity is a straightforward passive that improves Spirit recovery during Focus mode. It is not much stronger, but it makes sustained Focus usage more viable and reduces downtime between Spirit-heavy abilities. It is pure quality-of-life for any Spirit-heavy playstyle.

Focus Level 4 – Serenity

Flight Level 3 – Enhanced Flight

Skill Tree Section – Health

Effect – Press the RMB (dedicated key input) during Flight to perform a dive.

Artifact Cost – 1× Abyss Artifact

Priority – High for exploration and vertical map navigation.

Enhanced Flight is the only Health Skill under the Crimson Desert Enhanced new skills. It adds a controlled dive while airborne, letting you descend much faster and with better control. Most importantly, when using this skill, the dive prevents fall damage, making high-altitude travel safer. It is a strong quality-of-life improvement for both exploration and quick repositioning in combat.

Flight Level 3 – Enhanced Flight

Armed Combat Level 6 – Finishing Rush

Skill Tree Section – Stamina (Combat)

Effect – Press LMB or the dedicated key to Light Attack after attacking to go to the next enemy and continue attacking.

Artifact Cost – 1× Abyss Artifact

Priority – High for multi-target combat.

Finishing Rush is a combat-focused new skill for Kliff from the newest Crimson Desert 2.0 update. This skill lets Kliff quickly move toward nearby enemies and continue his light-attack chain after landing hits. It works especially well against groups, making light attacks useful for clearing multiple enemies. While light attacks are often underused in the endgame, this upgrade makes them far more valuable for clearing groups of enemies.
