Lost Sword Beginner's Guide

Building Your Team

Creating a strong team is key to winning battles in Lost Swords. You can choose five heroes and place them in three rows: front, mid, and back. Each row has two spots, and where you place your heroes matters a lot. Here are Lost Sword tips to build your team:

Building Your Team

  • Frontline: This is for defenders with higher HP. Place strong defenders like Knights (e.g., Gallahad or Kay) here. They take enemy hits to protect the rest of your team.

  • Midline: The midline is for heroes who deal damage. Use ranged attackers like Archers or Wizards who can hit multiple enemies at once (AoE damage) to gain an edge in battle.

  • Backline: The backline is for supporters or healers. They maintain the team's survivability by healing or giving helpful buffs. Wizards like Merlin or healers like Guinevere or Dian Cecht are perfect for this row.

Navigating Gacha Banners

You need stronger heroes for more challenging battles when you progress in the game. You can summon heroes in the Summon Menu. Heroes come in 3-Star, 4-Star, and 5-Star rarities. There are gacha banners available to summon these characters.

Navigating Gacha Banners

Here are the methods for summoning:

  • Character Summon: This is the standard, always-available banner. It has a 3% chance to get a 5-Star hero and a 14% chance for a 4-Star hero.

  • Special Limited-Time Banners: These banners appear for a short time and feature unique 5-Star heroes like Neo-Bedivere, Vivien, or Erin.

For all banners, you need to spend gems to summon, like 200 gems per summon. To guarantee getting a special 5-Star hero, you may need around 120 summons.

Tip: Use the OSLink Synchronizer to manage multiple accounts at the same time. This lets you reroll on all accounts simultaneously, increasing your chances of getting 5-Star heroes faster and building a strong team.

Game Modes for Farm More

Farming resources is the best way to enhance your journey in Lost Sword gameplay. Here are the different game modes to help you gather resources and grow stronger:

Game Modes for Farm More

  • Adventure Mode: This is the main story mode. Focus on clearing stages to level up quickly, unlock new game features, and earn resources like gems, gear, and more.

  • Daily Boss Raids: Fight powerful boss creatures in this mode. Defeating them rewards you with high-rarity gear and upgrade materials.

  • Colosseum: This is the PvP mode where you battle other players worldwide. Win to climb the ranks and earn rewards. Choose opponents with weaker teams than yours to secure victories, as losing costs rank points.

  • Tower of Oberon: In this tower mode, you fight enemies across multiple stages. Climbing higher earns you gems, gear, and EXP books.

  • Dungeon Battles: These are great for farming specific resources. Pick a dungeon based on what you need—gear, gold, or EXP books—and battle through enemies and a boss at the end.

  • Stonehenge Domain: A special dungeon for farming gear. Face waves of enemies, and use Stonehenge Boss Tickets to summon bosses. Defeating them gives you a chance to get high-rarity gear.

Level Up and Skill Up Characters

To make your heroes stronger in Lost Sword, it’s not enough to just get high-rarity characters, you need to upgrade them.

Level Up and Skill Up Characters

Here’s how to level up and skill up your characters to make them more powerful:

  • Level Up: Leveling up boosts a character’s basic stats like Attack, Defense, HP, and Critical Hit chance. Each character can reach a maximum of level 200 to become their strongest. To level up, you need “Books of Experience,” which you can collect while playing the game.

  • Skill Up: Every character has unique abilities: one ultimate skill, one active skill, and two passive skills. You can upgrade these skills up to level 5 to make them more effective. To do this, you need “Skill Pages.”

Tips: Don’t use your Books of Experience or Skill Pages on low-rarity characters early on. Save these resources for upgrading your high-star (4-Star or 5-Star) characters to build a stronger team faster.

Gearin Up Main Characters

You have four different types of gear to equip for your characters: weapons, armor, treasure, and runes. Each type of gear comes with different rarity levels: Common, Uncommon (Green), Rare (Blue), Heroic (Purple), and Legendary (Gold), with Legendary being the highest rarity.

Gearin Up Main Characters

Each piece of gear boosts specific stats to improve your character’s abilities. You can also upgrade gear to make it even better. Focus on upgrading and equipping higher-rarity gear (like Heroic or Legendary) on your best characters.

Tips: Engage in modes like Adventure Mode and Stonehenge Dungeon Battles to farm more gear right from the start.

Transcendence and Resonance

The duplicate(dupes) system in Lost Sword is an excellent way to enhance your characters' strength. When you collect duplicates of your characters, you can boost their power through Transcendence and Resonance.

Transcendence and Resonance

Here’s how they work:

  • Transcend Process: When you obtain duplicates, you can unlock up to 5 levels (T1 to T5) of transcendence. This process enhances character stats such as HP, ATK, and DEF, and upgrades skills from level 3 to level 5.

  • Resonance Process: Duplicates can be turned into cards. These cards give unique bonuses, boosting basic stats and improving the character’s active skill. Importantly, these cards can be equipped not only to one character but also to any character in your roster. Make sure to equip them with the most suitable character to maximize their advantage.

Tip: T1 and T2 transcendence levels give smaller stat boosts compared to higher levels. So, when you get duplicates, it’s often better to turn them into cards through the Resonance process instead of using them for early transcendence.

Utilizing Pets

Lost Sword pets play a significant role in enhancing your team's overall power. They provide stat boosts and have unique skills. You can equip up to three pets for your team, one for each row: Front, Mid, and Back. Only the Front-row pet’s skill can be used in battle, while the Mid and Back-row pets give stat boosts like Attack or Defense.

Utilizing Pets

You can get pets from the “Claim Pet” banner in the Summon Menu. Pets come in different star rarities, with 5-star pets being the best to equip. Like characters, pets can be upgraded through the Transcend process using duplicates, which improves their skills and main stats.

Tip: Choose your most powerful pet with the best skills for the Front row to gain a big advantage in battles.

Holy Relics System

Holy Relics are a special, long-term system to boost all your characters’ stats. There are three types of Holy Relics:

  • Holy Grail: Boosts Attack, Defense, HP, and Critical Damage.

  • Holy Lance: Improves attack stats, including Melee Attack, Ranged Attack, Magic Attack, and PvE Attack.

  • Holy Scabbard: Enhances defense stats, including Melee Defense, Ranged Defense, Magic Defense, and PvE Defense.

Each relic has four sub-stats. Upgrading them follows a cycle process: each upgrade improves the stats, and completing a full cycle increases the materials needed for the next one. You’ll need Gold and Fairy Powder to complete these upgrades.

Tip: Focus on upgrading the Holy Grail first to improve all basic stats for your characters. Then, upgrade the Holy Lance and Holy Scabbard to the same level to keep your attack and defense balanced.

Chaos Cubes for more Bonus

Chaos Cubes are similar to Holy Relics, but they provide less of a boost compared to Holy Relics. There are three types of Chaos Cubes: Rare (Blue), Heroic (Purple), and Legendary (Gold).

Chaos Cubes for more Bonus

You can get these cubes by dismantling gear of the same rarity (color). Using Chaos Cubes, you can boost your characters’ Attack, Defense, and HP. Upgrading them follows a cycle process, just like Holy Relics.

Tip: Play low-level Stonehenge Domain stages to farm more gear. Dismantle this gear to get Chaos Cubes and quickly improve your characters’ stats.

Wisely Use Your Growth Points

Growth Points are very important for progressing in Lost Sword. They help make your team stronger. You earn Growth Points every time your account levels up.

Wisely Use Your Growth Points

You can spend these points on four categories to boost your team’s stats:

  • Valor: Boosts Attack.

  • Protection: Boosts Defense.

  • Chaos: Boosts Boss Attack.

  • Indomitable: Boosts HP.

Spending Growth Points improves these stats for all your characters, making your team more powerful for any battle.

Tip: Early in the game, use your Growth Points wisely. First, max out Protection (Defense) to make your team tougher. Then, max out Valor (Attack) for more damage. Finally, focus on Indomitable (HP) to increase your team’s survivability.
